Meditate not because you’ll feel holy,
but so you’ll know that there’s no difference between
the times that you sit and the times you don’t.
— Zen-Denial Levin
As we contact this Higher Principle of our
own lives-which is Perfect and Complete, needing nothing, wanting
nothing, knowing everything, being happy and satisfied-and as we
daily meditate upon this Indwelling God, we shall acquire a greater
mental equivalent. — The Science of Mind
Meditation
Most of us know meditation is beneficial to our wellbeing; it centers
us to move though the day, connected to our source. Sometimes there
is a “yes but” feeling that we’ve missed the mark,
not doing it correctly.
Enjoy the process of meditation, let go of being
perfect. Meditation means be in the moment, “be here now”.
Yes… there are times when we meditate and we find ourselves drifting.
Or our mental gymnastics seem to be running a marathon. Be with everything
that is showing up. Gently call yourself back to center. Give up your
idea of what a perfect meditation should look like or feel like.
This moment is perfect. Call yourself back to a gentle
restful place. Give up preconceived notions of how or what meditation
needs to be today. Remember the luscious feeling of Spirit. However
we show up is just perfect. Give yourself permission to go deeper into
source. Today we are opening to who we are in the moment. Today our
meditation is the best it can be. We’ll explore tomorrow’s
mediation when it arrives
Today in meditation I breathe as I return
to the quiet. I breathe and watch as my breath follows the pathway
to my source. I follow my breath to my center… I love the
process of connecting with Spirit… I return to peace.
