Science of Mind Magazine, Daily Guide
by Rev. Maggie Buck
You are the center of consciousness through
which the Power of God flows. When you turn within and touch the
realm of Spirit, your outer mind becomes a channel for this Power.
— John Randolph Price
Love is the central flame of the universe,
nay, the very fire itself. It is written that God is Love, and that
we are Spirits expressed likeness, the image of the Eternal Being.

Stoking the Fire
My job is to stoke the fire of God within me, to
let my light shine, to heal, restore, and renew myself daily. It’s
my job to remember to live always in the greater Truth. I’m the
only one who can purify my thinking. When I am down or wrapped up in
mistaken beliefs, I have to call upon Infinite Intelligence to assist
me in correcting my thinking. When I’m upset, it’s because
I’ve forgotten that I live in the presence of Spirit. I have separated
myself and stepped away from my good.
When I feel separate, I pick up Ernest Holmes’
book, This Thing Called You. I read it in the first person, and I can
feel my power returning as I claim my personal good. Reading Ernest
Holmes helps me stoke the fire of God that is eternally mine, and I
am reminded that I can never be separate from my Source. I can feel
the embers of God’s love and wisdom alive within me as I read
words of Truth.
My personal power comes from my deep connection
to God. I will read sacred books until I remember and return to the
Presence of Spirit within me. I will allow these words of wisdom to
strengthen me. The fire of God’s love is alive within me always
and forever.
